Sonaly Hendricks heads the construction litigation department at Pierce, Sloan, Wilson, Kennedy & Early, LLC., where she has represented builders, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, building component manufacturers, insurance carriers, and individual homeowners in complex suits involving properties ranging from multi-million dollar beach-front condominiums to a $20 million single custom residence, and everything in between.
Working with some of the best experts in the region, Sonaly specializes in design and construction defects involving all trades and building components, as well as professional design liability, design and manufacture of windows and other building materials, developer and Homeowner Association issues, construction administration and management, delay disputes, and insurance matters. In addition to construction, Sonaly’s practice includes complex commercial disputes, defamation litigation, medical malpractice defense, and appeals.
Sonaly graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 1998. She was admitted to the Colorado Bar and joined a regional firm in Denver practicing commercial litigation, products liability, antitrust, and appellate law. She was admitted to the Washington Bar in 2003 where she continued practicing commercial litigation in Seattle. She then moved to Charleston, where she joined her current firm in 2006 and now serves as Special Counsel. Sonaly is a member of the Colorado, Washington, South Carolina, and American Bar Associations, and has been recognized as a Rising Star in the field of Construction Litigation by South Carolina Super Lawyers in 2012 and 2013.
